This seems pretty cheap as far as Ryobi products go.

The usual 18V 2.0ah battery + charger kit is normally $89. And this adds a grass shearer tool + caddy thing for an extra $26. The next model up with the hedge attachment is $199, so at $115 this seems to be well priced.

I plan to use these grass shears to mow under my trampoline, which most of the newer battery mowers seem to struggle with (as the handles fold upwards rather than down). I never saw a petrol mower with this issue.

I guess these grass shears would also be useful if you have a very very small lawn… a micro lawn, or nano lawn. But so would a pair of scissors or a bag of concrete.
