Apple has now made the 16GB model the minimum standard! So much for the “8GB RAM is better than 16GB” memes. It’s now cheaper to buy the 16GB and 512GB option from the education store than this previous popular deal: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/867202 – Essentially a free upgrade compared to launch prices – very rare for Apple. I’d be quite upset if I bought the 8GB RAM model in the past.
