CO2 Gas Cylinders 6kg Our 6Kg gas bottles are new and ready to use straight out of the box. With a cylinder shut-off valve this little tank can dispense up to 1000L and carbonate and dispense up to 500L of beer when used for homebrewing purposes.

We strongly suggest testing your connections prior to leaving the cylinder on.
To do this watch our video here OR read below
Disconnect the gas side of your set up from your kegs.
Turn on the gas at the black valve
Turn the grey regulator clockwise until the low-pressure side reaches 40psi
Turn off the black valve at the top of the bottle.
Wait 2+ Hours (or leave overnight)
If the left and right pressure gauge on the regulator has dropped or is showing 0psi. Then it is safe to say you have a leak somewhere in the line. You will need to check all connections with soapy detergent water to locate the leak.
We recommend checking all clamped sections, or if you’re using push-in fittings, to ensure they’re not bending or being stretched as this will cause a micro leak.

Features:
– Australian Standard Approved
– Comes with 6.0kg of CO2
– Dimensions 76cm high x 16cm diameter
– Black carry handle grip for easy of transport and protection of valve
Refilling:
Empty cylinders can be refilled by most local homebrew stores around Australia. If you’re having trouble click our link at the bottom of our website “Gas Refillers Map”
Most places can fill on the spot for you, or they offer a swap and go type service. Typically this will cost between $25-35 for a 2.6kg Cylinder and $50-60 for a 6kg Cylinder.
These cylinders come with a 10 year approved life span. After this time for CO2 fillers to be able to fill your bottle, you will need to get it hydrostatically tested for your safety and theirs while filling it for you. This can easily be done at a local fire station or a certified gas mechanic/supplier.
We at KegLand charge $20 for a 2.6kg Cylinder Refill/Swap
and $40 for a 6.0kg Cylinder Refill/Swap
Tap and Go Visa/Mastercard only.

Warning: Only use in the upright position. or you run the risk of breaking your regulator with liquid CO2.

If you are looking for a CO2 bottle that is more compact and lightweight, please see out 2.6kg CO2 Bottle (FULL)
The 6kg can dispense up to 1000L and carbonate and dispense up to 500L of beer.
(Typically 6g of CO2 used per L to dispense. Or 12g of CO2 to carbonate and dispense)

Please note this item cannot be sent with Australia Post. If you purchase this item and select Australia Post, it will automatically be changed to a suitable shipping carrier. We will contact you if further information is needed.

Hydro Testing
Unlike some other alloy steel cylinders, the KegLand gas cylinders are made with a RPV fitting into the valve opening. As a result our cylinders only require 10 years periodic hydro testing not 5 year like other similar cylinders. This can be seen in the AS2030 standard here: 10 Year Periodic Testing Interval. When this cylinder eventually requires a hydro test you can swap it with another cylinder in our exchange program in which case we absorb the hydro test cost at our premises in Noble Park or alternatively take it into a hydro testing facility to get the test done.
